For the same reasons that make this a perfect gun for Law Enforcement, it makes perfect sense for home defense. This full size 1911 model features tritium night sights, a picatinny accessory rail and G10 VX Operator grips. The forged stainless steel slide sports a serrated rib while the frame has 25 LPI front strap checkering. The undercut trigger guard and recessed slide stop make it ideal should you wish to install laser grips preserving the rail for perhaps a smaller light. The Dan Wesson Specialist Stainless is purpose driven 1911 that will support a well thought out carry or defensive system.
